The Looking Glass system allows for the secure and autonomous scanning of virtually any object in a matter of minutes, with a process no different than that of taking a photograph.

Our algorithm creates the digital signature, which is then embedded onto the MIRAImage Verification NFT alongside full cataloguing information. The Looking Glass was designed to fit seamlessly into a professional photography studio, and can image areas up to 8 by 8 feet at one time. Embedded within this easy-to-operate system are MIRA’s patented computational microscope and deep learning algorithm, which are able to efficiently scan a work and generate a digital signature in a matter of minutes.

MIRA uses NFTs, but not in the way you you’ve seen them used before. The MIRAImage Verification NFT is a secure, immutable storage solution for the digital signatures produced by MIRA’s algorithms and which are inextricably tied to physical works of art.

NFTs are a technology which can, for the first time, digitally mirror the attributes of scarcity, authenticity, and provenance which underpin the physical fine art ecosystem. Following a scan, a MIRAImage Verification NFT is minted with express approval from trusted specialists from the art world, and in addition to the digital signature, contains full cataloguing and provenance information for the work. A scan of the physical work in the future can be matched by our deep learning algorithm to the signature stored on the physical work's MIRAImage Verification NFT, even after normal wear and tear. This allows the owner of the physical work to prove that the work is the same work that had previously been scanned at a top tier art institution.
